More vacation photos!

Here's a few more photos from our trip.

This is how our first game started out. We even got there early to see if we could watch batting practice and meet some players. All we got to see was rain.

After the rain delay, the game started and the day ended up looking like this! It was beautiful!!

Ybor City is the place to be in Tampa at night. It is NOT easy to get to! The four of us drove around every night trying to get to this place!

We like group drinks. Here we are sharing a "Mug O' 'Rita"

This is Chris's plane...he flew us to Key West on Saturday.

This is view of Marco Island from the plane. This was our emergency stop if I was sick. The last time I flew on Chris's plane I was VERY motion sick. I was fine the whole way to Key West! Thank goodness for Dramamine!

We ate lunch at Sloppy Joe's and walked around downtown, down to the "Southernmost point." The green is for St. Patrick's Day. ;)

When we got back from Key West, we went to Ybor City for the St. Patrick's Day parade. CRAZY stuff! We saw a Girl's Gone Wild bus on the way...

And we spent some time on the beach!

After working half a week, as soon as we got home, I'm SO glad it's the weekend.

Who's Your Tiger??

Well, I have three.

Curtis Granderson, centerfield.

Nate Robertson. Pitcher and originator of Gum Time.

And Vance Wilson, our handsome backup catcher.

Yeah, we had a good vacation.

Not much to say...

We have had a nice relaxing weekend...haven't done a whole lot. We are getting ready for our Lakeland vacation...which is turning into a Clearwater vacation with a trip or two to Lakeland for the Tigers. We'd rather stay on the beach, and drive to the Tigers! 10 days til we leave! The Tigers are doing awesome so far... they are 4-1. The one was lost by Jason Grilli (relief pitcher). He gave up 9 runs in 2 innings. ;( Not how you want to perform during spring training!

I did this page for my Heidi Swapp Big Picture class. This is the March page. I'm so happy with how it turned out!

Edited to add: I'm an only child. The sisters in my layout are my sisters in law that I feel very lucky to have! I always wanted a sister and now I have 5!

Crappy day...

with a little glimmer of light in it.

Yesterday sucked. I was fasting, since it was Ash Wednesday, and it made me feel especially crappy. I was dizzy, shaky, and just felt awful. I fast twice a year every year and I have never felt this bad. At the end of the day at work, I decided to eat a granola bar and see if it helped. If I was sick because of fasting, it should have. I wanted to throw up as soon as I ate it. I didn't, but it did not help at all. I came home and ate some dinner (big mistake) and I was sick all night. I mananged to get down to the computer for a few minutes because I was expecting some news, and I got what I was looking for...just not EXACTLY what I was looking for. The Scrapbook Zone was choosing their new design team, and I wasn't chosen. Just what I needed in between trips to the bathroom.

John thinks it's good, he says there is something else out there for me to do. I don't know. I like being part of something, so I enjoy design teams a lot more than getting published, so I'm not going to be submitting like crazy or anything, and I've now been turned down for 3 design teams, so I don't know that I want to try again any time soon.

My friend Benita did get on the team, though, and I'm so happy for her! And the rest of the team, it is a great team to be a part of and Kelley and Kevin and Sue are great to work with!

My glimmer of happiness for yesterday? We are going to spring training!!! In Florida!! In 3 weeks!!!! I'm soooooo excited! And now that I'm feeling better, I can really feel excited about it! We are going to a game against Philadelphia and maybe a game against Cincinnati.

Oh and one more thing. I don't get into stuff like this on my blog much, but it is scary. I don't shop at Walmart, because I don't want China to take over the world. Now Chrysler is for sale, and China is looking to buy it. Not good. Especially not good for our already suffering Michigan economy. So, please, unless you want to start learning Chinese, PLEASE don't buy Chinese cars. They are coming, and they will be cheap. STAY STRONG!

It's only....

86 days til opening day!

We redeemed our gift certificate from Aunt Karen and Uncle Doug yesterday and paid a little extra for lower level seats. So, for the 6 best games of the season, John and I will be sitting in Sect 145, Row R. We can't wait!

We are thinking about going for a long weekend to Lakeland, Florida this March. What's in Lakeland, you ask? Tigers spring training! What more could you ask for during a weekend in March? Warm weather, one, maybe 2 Tiger games, and maybe a trip to the beach?
