23 Weeks/Dinosauria/and more!

Um, yeah, so I missed 22 weeks.  Here is the new update!

 

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along:  23 Weeks

Size of baby: Baby is the size of a large mango! Baby weighs about as much as a large mango -- just over a pound. (Length: more than 11 inches.)  (22 weeks was a spaghetti squash)

Total Weight Gain:  Unsure, my dad has taken over my scale again for his impending move. 

Maternity Clothes: Everything is maternity.

Gender: We don't find out!  We are really thinking this is a boy.

Movement: I'm feeling the baby kick everytime I lay down or sit still for a few minutes.  It's always at the bottom left side, that concerns me that the baby isn't moving around a lot, and is always breech.

Sleep: I've been sleeping really well!

What I miss:  Nothing really right now.

Cravings:  Nothing really right now.

Symptoms: I have very few symptoms at this point, which makes me very happy. This pregnancy is going really really well.  and EASY.  I did get a leg cramp the other night, which is the WORST, but I looked up a stretch to do before bed and I haven't had one since.

Best Moment this week:  nothing really comes to mind, but I'm really really happy about how great I'm feeling!

Last weekend, we had Marcel's 4th birthday celebration!  He wanted to go see Dinosauria at the Detroit Zoo, so, that is what we all did!   Jack really enjoyed it and still talks about it very often!  

 

We were very impressed with this exhibit!

but he was waving to the dinosaurs pretty quickly...

Marcel spent most of the time looking through his stroller...it was pretty funny!   He felt safer in there.

Cake Time!

Then, it was Father's Day....went to church with John's dad and the pig roast afterwards, and then went out to dinner with my dad.

 

Jack also had his first soft serve Dairy Queen ice cream last week! Here he is, very pleased that he has an ice cream cone. 

 But he ate it very timidly.

He definitely enjoyed it, just not as enthusiastically as I thought he would!

21 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along:  21 Weeks

Size of baby: Baby is as long as a carrot! Our baby -- currently the length of a carrot -- weighs about 3/4 of a pound. (Length: 10 1/2 inches, head to heel.)

Total Weight Gain:  16 lbs.  I have actually lost a little in the past 2 weeks.  Finally.

Maternity Clothes: Everything is maternity.

Gender: We don't find out!

Movement: I'm feeling the baby kick everytime I lay down or sit still for a few minutes.

Sleep: I've been sleeping really well!

What I miss:  I was missing wine the other night when everyone but me was enjoying a glass.

Cravings:  not much....

Symptoms: right now, my biggest symptom is this big round belly I have developed.  I have had some heartburn (not regularly though, thank goodness) and some tailbone soreness (again not regularly).  Both symptoms I do not miss from last time.  

Best Moment this week:  Not gaining any weight!

20 Weeks/Crossroads Village

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along:  20 Weeks- officially half way!

Size of baby:  A banana! Baby has grown as big as a banana. (Length: about 6 1/2 inches from head to bottom, and 10 inches from head to heel.)

Total Weight Gain:  I have not weighed myself this week.  It's depressing.

Maternity Clothes: Everything is maternity.

Gender: We don't find out!

Movement: I'm feeling the baby kick, mostly at night.  Not much during the day.

Sleep: I've been sleeping really well!

What I miss:  eating whatever I feel like, and not thinking about how much protein I'm getting, or thinking about if what I'm eating might be harmful to the baby.  

Cravings:  bread sticks from Primo's with their awesome garlic dip.

Symptoms: right now, my biggest symptom is this big round belly I have developed.  I have had some heartburn (not regularly though, thank goodness) and some tailbone soreness (again not regularly).  Both symptoms I do not miss from last time.  

Best Moment this week:   Realizing that summer is FINALLY here!  I can now wear all of my maternity clothes without a sweatshirt too! 

Today we went to Crossroads Village/Huckleberry Railroad with Bryant, Rachel and Marcel.

We rode the boat.  Jack really liked the boat. 

We rode the train....which Jack was pretty sure we were riding Thomas.

And we rode the carousel:
