Last weekend we went to the Zoo...I can't believe it is the first time this year! Considering we live 1 mile from the Zoo, we should be there more often. We made up for it this week and went twice.
Jack loved pointing out the animals.
This is the only picture of a real animal I took while at the Zoo.
I did however take some pictures of fake animals.
Fake animals that we don't even have at the Zoo. No, we do not have elephants at our Zoo....apparently in the cold climates they get arthritis. Jack decided that was worth a hug.
And then he wanted to climb it.
Oh, I lied! Here is another real animal, a peacock. Jack was really into chasing them.
Back to the fake animals. Jack really liked this huge polar bear. He wanted to hug it too.
Then we ran into a sprinkler, and Jack LOVED it.
I love this kid.
So then Wednesday evening, there was a kids concert at the Zoo, so we went to that...
Jack danced and danced and danced...
And we got a good picture. I wish I had more of me and Jack...
And we played at the playground.
Going to the Zoo in the evening ROCKS. Jack was zonked out and asleep before 10! I know that doesn't sound early to most for a todder, but for Jack, that is early!

4th of July
Yes, I am just now posting about the 4th of July.
We go to my Uncle Dan and Aunt Jennifer's house every year, and hang out in their pool all weekend, eat lots of food and watch some fireworks. Oh, and we got the longest 4th of July parade in the history of small town 4th of July parades.
Here are some pictures at the parade. It was LONG and HOT.
Jack and Nana
The girls
Little man in his sunglasses.
Daddy and Jack trying to get out of the sun a little.
As soon as we got home from the parade, we jumped in the pool! (actually, Jack probably napped first).
Jack LOVED jumping into the pool.
That is a pretty good summary of the weekend. Everyone in the pool. Or eating :)
