Last Saturday, Sunday and Monday were full of water!! Or as Jack would say, "lauter."
We went to River Days Saturday at the Detroit Riverwalk. It was a lot of fun! We plan to every year! Jack had a blast in the fountains, and if he were a little older he would have loved the rides and crafts, but it was nice just to walk along the river.
This is what he did when the water unexpectedly shot up at him!
No, he did not drink any water, but he tried!
This sequence is pretty funny...a little mean that I just watched and took pictures, though....
Surprise!
Oh, he's mad now.
For some reason, he didn't run away this time, I think he didn't know what to do!
Daddy saved him. Mama is still taking pictures.
The three of us in front of the Detroit River, and Canada.
Jack liked waving to the police boat...
Then Sunday was Father's Day, and we went to John's parents for another BBQ. The kiddie pool was open and this time we brought some trunks for Jack!
This picture cracks me up...huge Marcel and tiny Jack.
Jack did a lot of this.
This is one cute kid.
A couple of cute cousins. Jack just LOVES his cousin Cel.
Happy Father's Day!!
Then, on Monday, some friends, Marisa and Addie (13 months), invited us to the "exclusive" Pleasant Ridge pool. Marisa actually lives in Ferndale, with a portion of her backyard being in Pleasant Ridge...so she gets to go to the Pleasant Ridge pool.
It is REALLY nice!!
Jack really needs to get back into swimming lessons, this is all he would do on his own. When I took him further in, he just held onto me for dear life. I wasn't too happy about that.
The two kids.
This is the best picture I could get of them together. Addie was just so active running around everywhere, and my wild man just hung out at the edge of the pool, splashing.
As I was changing him, he ran off in his diaper, so I had to take a picture.

Happy birthday Marcel!
Last Sunday was Marcel's 3rd birthday! I can hardly believe he's 3!!
We went to Crossroads Village/Huckleberry Railroad to ride a train for his birthday!
Before the train, we went on the carousel. It's the fastest carousel in Michigan, and it was FAST! Jack didn't really like it.
He did however, like sticking his finger in the horses ear.
Here's the birthday boy on his own horse!
Then onto the train!
Here is Ben peeking over at us.
Us!
Katie and Greg
Grandma and Grandpa
Marcel enjoying the train ride
The train!
After the train ride, "Handsome Harry" wished Marcel a happy birthday.
And Marcel got to check out the caboose.
And, of course, there was birthday cake!!
The three boys...
Happy birthday Cel!! (that Jack's name for him!)

Memorial Weekend
Last Sunday we had a BBQ at John's parent's house for Memorial Day...good thing, because it rained all day Monday. We had beautiful weather, and great food! We saw ultrasound pictures and tried to help Kelly come up with a boy's name....she didn't like any of our suggestions.
They had a kiddie pool, that I didn't know would be there, so Jack has three, YES, THREE, sets of swim trunks at home, and cute swim diapers and he ended up wearing a diaper shell in the pool. Good grief.
No one was hurt making this shot. It actually wasn't happening the way this looks AT ALL! The bat was dripping water, and Marcel was putting it over Jack's head to get him wet, not smashing it over his head like it looks like here!
And what's a Memorial Day BBQ without watermelon?
