Santa!

Well, we went to see Santa today.  The Santa wasn't as good this year, but still better than most I'd say....we love Somerset's Santa setup.  The pictures weren't as good as last year's either, but last year, he was a little lump, and this year he only does want HE wants to do.

Finally!!

We did a couple of 5Ks right before we got pregnant with Jack, with plans to do the Detroit Marathon in October.  Instead, we had a baby in October.   We've had plans to run ever since he was born, but we finally got around to it this summer.  Then I got hurt, and sick and we stopped.  We started again in October, but John got sick, Jack got sick, John got sick, Jack got sick, I got sick, etc.   We have managed to get a few runs in here and there, but we weren't sure if we had run enough to run a 5K on Thanksgiving.  We signed up the day before....and then low and behold I woke up with a cold.   We ran it anyway.  Slow, but we did it.  39:24.  I think I could have walked it in almost that time.  I'm really hoping it was my cold, because the last 5Ks we did were at 31:28.

Jack's first haircut!

So, I went ahead and posted Jack's birthday pictures, and forgot to blog about his haircut!   We got his first haircut on Monday before his party.   His hair was long in the back and on the sides, and was really unruly, so we decided to get it cut before his party and his 1 year pictures.

He was really good!!  We went to Carnival Cuts, at 12 Oaks, because they have little cars for the kids to sit in, and I thought Jack would need the distraction to let the girl cut his hair.  I was right, and it worked great!  We will definitely go back!

Jack is officially 1!

He finally had his birthday party!!  2 weeks late!  And, this post is 1 week late, so at almost 1 month after his birthday, I'm now posting pictures of his party.  

He was overwhelmed with all his gifts!

The day after Halloween was a beautiful fall day, and all the leaves were falling, so we went to Nana's house to play in the leaves!  Nana has 3 trees in a tiny yard, so she gets A LOT of leaves!  Jack wasn't too sure what to think of it at first, but he ended up having a good time, of course!
