2 months old!

Evan is 2 months old!  He is 10 lbs, 11 oz (24%)and 22 inches long (15%).  He's gaining weight so well!   And nursing like a champ!  His spitting up seems to have slowed down a bit, which is nice.  He loves to have his diaper changed.  We can guarantee smiles on the changing table.  Of course, I haven't really caught one on camera, because I'm changing a diaper at the time.

Here's his photo:

Here's Jack's at 2 months:

As you can see, Evan is much larger than Jack, more filled out.

Here's my 2 boys:

Pappy's visit

Last weekend, Pappy (my dad), Aunt Robin and Grandpa Gene came to visit Jack and Evan.  None of them had met Evan yet!

I love how his PJs match the playgym.

Jack wants to play too!

Our house has been a dance party lately.

The Zoo/Thanksgiving/Random Cuteness

Random cuteness first - I got out Evan's new really cute playgym and he immediately grabbed the ring!  Completely accidentally, I'm sure, but still exciting!

Right before Thanksgiving, we took a trip to the zoo. It was a nice day, and maybe one of the last nice days we have.

This is the brand new lion exhibit!   All glass and the lions can get right up close!

We got super close to the zebras....

And just so you know me and Evan were there too.

My matching boys on Thanksgiving - Jack's had this outfit for a long time and I just happen to run into the newborn version of it at a resale shop!  Sold!

After dinner.

And some random Jack cuteness

One Month Old!

Well, before he turns 2 months old, I should post his one month old picture!  I'm not doing blocks with Evan because of all the difficulty I had with Jack and the blocks.  Also, I'm using the same FuzziBunz One Size diaper for every monthly picture this year!

Not much to say at one month old.   He's growing like crazy!  8 lbs 14 oz, and 20 1/4 inches long!  It is so nice not to deal with slow weight gain again.

He's a sweet baby and sleeping great!  At least 3 or 4 or 5 hour stretches at night!  Makes me worry about my milk supply a little!  Then I see his weight gain and I know he's getting plenty!

Here is Jack's one month picture from 3 years ago:

Halloween!

We had the sweetest boys on Halloween!  Well, eventually.  We had a heck of a time getting Jack into costume both before our party and before Trick or Treating.  We almost didn't go trick or treating, but we pestered him enough, and he agreed to finally put it on!

My Lion.

Bill Compton and Sookie Stackhouse from True Blood.  Ok, chubby verisons of Bill Compton and Sookie Stackhouse.

I didn't do a good job of getting other photos, because, well, it's kind of all about the kids at this point, right?  I'm not even sure how to explain the rest of the pictures.

Jack's birthday

Well, we are back to posts after Evan was born at least now.   I remember on November 1, thinking, oh, it's NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month), which I did last?  year and the idea is to post everyday in November.  I use it to just post more often.    Instead, I didn't post at all in November.  Kind of crazy since I have a new baby and lots to talk about, but kind of normal too, since, well, I have a new baby

So, if you missed my marathon posting yesterday, I posted THREE times, of things that happened BEFORE Evan was born.

Now I'm at Jack's 3rd birthday!   It was pretty low key, since well, I have a new baby.  That is the recurring theme recently.  Jack's birthday was 11 days after Evan was born, so there were no invitations, decorations, or a homemade cake.  But there was a cake, family and gifts, and love.  That's all a birthday needs, right?  It's all Jack needed.  Oh, and a Happy Birthday song.  You need that too.

Some of our cuter guests.

Jack not looking excited opening gifts, but he was, he loves this car!

Jack not sure about being sung too.....which is funny, he loves singing Happy Birthday to people!

Blowing out candles

Now, finally a smile!

And since I didn't get a picture of Evan at the party (he was mostly being worn in the Moby) here is a random bath picture.

Before Evan was born, Part 3: Three Cedars Farm

The day before Evan was born, we went to the cider mill!  I saw lots of pregnant women there, but I believe I was the most pregnant at 38 weeks, 1 day.  I had no idea I'd go into labor the next day!

There were these toy tractors and Jack was obssessed with them.  He freaked out if any other kid tried to touch his, and he would barely go on the slides and other stuff because he'd have to leave his tractor unguarded.

We did convince him to get on the slide once.

And he loved these huge bales of hay.  I think his tractor got taken while he played on these.

Me and Jack (and Evan, kind of)

Cider and Doughnuts!   Jack loved the cider (he has never had juice before)

And this is exactly how much of the doughnut he ate.   This can't be my child.  I can eat doughnuts all day, every day.
