This is so cool.

Ok, it is really cool to US, but probably won't seem cool to most of you...

What are they? They are actual seats from Tiger Stadium. They went on sale a couple of months ago, for $300 for a pair. We talked about buying a set, but never did...

Fast forward to today, when John was checking out craigslist.com and saw someone selling some sets for $275. He called and talked to the guy, who said he bought 5 pairs and they are too low for what he wanted, so he needed to get rid of some. John called me at work and I told him to do whatever he wanted. He called the guy back and said "it's just too much money for us right now." They guy said he'd sell them for $200, and John said, "Ok!"

We are now the proud owners of 2 seats for $100 less than they originally sold for. These seats will only go up in value....our first idea was to sell them and make some money. At this point, we could already make at LEAST $100. Probably significantly more.

But. We like them. A LOT. We kind of want to keep them. Decisions, decisions.

In other, much more exciting news....MY NEPHEW MARCEL IS LIKELY COMING HOME!!!! And, likely before Christmas. Thank you to everyone who helped us, or anyone who prayed for him. We are so excited and can't wait to meet him! This Thanksgiving we truly have so much to be thankful for.

And, I don't like brussel sprouts.

Yum!

We made our first trip to our local farmer's market yesterday! This is our first step into living a healthier life...nutritionally...we are doing so good working out, but we aren't eating well.

We even bought brussel sprouts. John says he really likes them. I've never had one in my life!

Now on to Kelley's tag:

1. If you could have $100 worth of scrapbook paper or assorted embellishments, which would you choose? Paper. I have a hard time with embellishments.

2. If you had to choose between using only stamps or rub-ons which would you choose?
Rub-ons. But I should choose stamps, because I need to use them more!

3. If you knew how to do both awesome cards and layouts, but could only do one for a year which would you do?
Easy. Layouts. I hate making cards.

4. Would you rather own a scrapbooking store or have your own scrapping room at home (can't have both, lol)
A room! I do NOT want a store, at all.

5. And then last but not least, what is your current cardmaking or scrapping style?
I have no idea. Multiphoto, clean lines, recently I've been only doing 2 pagers...

That's it!

Happy Birthday John!

John's 34th birthday is today!

After much distress about his gift...I ended up buying a weight machine from John's sister and brother in law. It's a fantastic machine, and they sold it to us really cheap. I also got him a new pair of running shoes (you can see them hanging on the machine!) As you might guess, we are trying to be healthier!

I have started the Couch to 5K running program. It's a 9 week program designed to take people from the "couch" to running a 5K regularly by doing a walking/running combination. It's going really well. I'm on Week 2. Hopefully the weather stays nice enough that we can finish this outside.

This weekend, we also did Ferndale's Tour of the Town, which they do twice a year. It's a lot of fun, and all the shops have free hors d'oeuvres and wine.

I got the coolest belt EVER! It is made of metal pop tops..they are all crocheted together! I LOVE it!
