Happy Birthday Jillian!

Jillian turns three today...we had her birthday party Sunday. It was cold, rainy, and we were in a park. Jillian didn't seem to notice it was cold and rainy. Must be nice being three!

In other good news...The Tigers made the playoffs! First time in 19 years! And we have tickets! YAY! Posted by Picasa

WOO-HOO!

John got playoff tickets for 2 games this morning!!! Two tickets to the the 2nd home game the Tigers play, and four tickets for the 3rd home game the Tigers play. So, we are definitely going to the 2nd home game, and if needed the 3rd home game. Very exciting! I hope we get to go to both (although sweeping whoever we are playing in 4 wouldn't be so bad...) because we can't afford any other games. After the first round, prices double. We can't afford $100 tickets!

Now, one thing still has to happen before we can use these tickets.

The Tigers have to MAKE the playoffs! Yeah, I'm pretty sure they will, but nothing is official yet!

Dancing in the Dark

John's cousin Heather had her 28th birthday party Saturday night....the theme: 80s prom! We headed to the Salvation Army and found some 80s prom clothes, and we were all set! It was a great night, we had a lot of fun! Everyone looked great!! We spent all night dancing to 80s music! Not much else to say, so here are some photos!

Yes, that is a Rock Band...

...in my front yard.

Cool, huh?

Oh, you want to know why we had a rock band in our front yard? Well, the guy in the middle is our brother in law, and yesterday was our annual block party. These parties are kind of lengendary, and they have been pretty tame the past couple years. So, invited our brother in law's band to play. It was a lot of fun! Well, I should say it was fun once the threat of rain was gone, I spent all day worrying that the band would show up (they live all over the state!) and not be able to play because of rain! But, while it looked like it was going to rain all night, it never did! Posted by Picasa

Back from Mackinac!

We had a great time on our anniversary trip! It was supposed to rain every day, and it didn't rain AT ALL! Monday was beautiful, sunny and warm! We got upgraded at the hotel to a jacuzzi room, which was a great way to start the trip! We did a lot of biking (we brought our bikes), and walking, and eating Mackinac Island Fudge ice cream! Nothing too exciting, it was just a nice, relaxing trip. Here are some photos!

This is a shot from the ferry on the way to the island of the Mackinac bridge.

This is our upgraded room, which was HUGE! It had 2 bathrooms!

On our bike trip around the island, we stopped to take some photos, this is John's "senior picture" shot. Heehee!

We thought this was hilarious!

Me on my bike...

Arch Rock...a photo everyone has from Mackinac

This was so funny at the restaurant we ate at, there were no restrooms right there, but according to the sign, John should have been sitting on a toilet?

We can't resist these things, we do them every chance we get!

Nothing better than Mackinac Island fudge ice cream on Mackinac Island! Yum!

Maybe we would have gotten a discount at the MURRAY hotel???

On one of our bike trips we saw this couple get engaged! Very sweet!

And on our way home, we stopped for pasties....you can't go to Northern Michigan without getting some pasties! Well, if you are John and I...Pasties are John's favorite food...and no one makes them better than his mom, not even the northern Michiganders! Maybe I should get her recipe....

I made this mini book, and gave this to John on our anniversary and he loved it!

Happy Anniversary to us!

Well, happy anniversary to us on Monday, really...We are leaving for our anniversary weekend to Mackinac Island in the morning. It's going to be cold and rainy every day we are there. Hm. We should bring our large umbrella, I guess. Be back Tuesday night!
